The Time We Are Given is my second studio EP, set to release on Friday 20th September. This collection of six compelling tracks is a profound reminder that time is our most precious resource and urges us to cherish every moment of our life.

 

Just like my debut EP Rubble this new EP is a musical quest to connect people on the largest possible scale, and find a remedy against fragmentation, alienation and polarization. With Rubble I was trying to find answers by confronting the raw truth (the atrocities of war), which resulted in dark and dissonant music. So, in The Time We Are Given, I want to restore a connection with hope, beauty and harmony again. With delicate piano performances, blended with a string quartet and electronic soundscapes, I want to take my listeners on a reflective journey through the essence of time.

 

In anticipation of the September release, two singles were released in advance. The opening track It’s Time For Reason, released on July 26, immediately sets the tone for the whole EP. A beautiful hymn-like melody, in an arrangement for piano and strings, is calling all nations to abandon war rhetoric, silence the weapons and return to reason.

The second single I Bide My Time with You, released on August 23, delves deeper into the timeless bond between two souls, capturing the essence of unwavering devotion and eternal love. It's an emotional piece for piano and strings that offers a promise to always be together, even when faced with the ultimate separation of death. A poignant reminder that true love transcends all boundaries, offering a comforting and uplifting message to anyone who has lost a loved one.
