It's a wrap!

Updated: Jul 24

Dear friends,

What started as a working title — Water Baby — has now found its final form. I'm happy to let you know that my new album is finished.

As members of this Behind-the-Scenes community you have already witnessed the music take shape step by step, but now all tracks are recorded, mixed, and mastered… and ready to be released into the public.

The album is called Quiet. A title that reflects not only the sound, but the state of mind in which this music was created.

This is my most personal album to date. Patiently composed during moments of deep calm and acceptance. Shaped by honest self-reflection and the silence between the notes.

The artwork comes from a dear friend and gifted art photographer, Jacques Vermeulen.  His series C# Variations resonated with the music in a beautiful way, and I’m honoured to feature his work on the cover.

The official release of the full album is planned for September on vinyl. In the coming weeks, I’ll also be sharing a few singles on streaming platforms.

This album wouldn’t exist without the people who brought it to life so generously and beautifully:

The incredible musicians of the Sun Sun Sun String Orchestra - Jeroen Baert, Yumika Lecluyze, Karel Coninx, and Séraphine Stragier. Additional session musicians Jasmijn Lootens and Vincent Werbrouck. And of course, Ellen Soens, whose voice on I’ll Wait Until Tomorrow still gives me chills.

The album was recorded at Room 13 Studio by Ward Neirynck, and mastered with care and precision at Cochlea Mastering by Gert Van Hoof.

To all of them — and to you, this wonderful community — thank you.

Your support, your listening ears, your presence along the way… it means more than I can say.

Warmly,

ree
